The top 7 teams in ICC ODI rankings will qualify for the event with the host joining them as the eighth team to complete two groups. If the host falls in the top 8 ranked teams then the top 8 teams will feature in the event.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Format

Champions Trophy 2025 will be played in the same format which was followed in the last few events. 8 teams will be divided into 2 groups. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals and winners will compete in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on 15th March.

Group A: India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, New Zealand

Group B: Australia, Afghanistan, England, South Africa

Champions Trophy 2025 Start Date

As per the revealed schedule of the ICC Champions Trophy inaugural match of the event will take place on 19th February between New Zealand and host Pakistan at Karachi which is one of the three venues selected for the ICC CT 2025 with Lahore and Rawalpindi.

In all ICC Champions Trophy 2025 fixtures comprises 15 matches which includes 12 round matches in which each team will play 2 times. The other three games in the Champions Trophy 2025 schedule are knock-out games which include two semi-finals and an ultimate final.

All matches of CT 2025 will take place under floodlights. It will take 19 days to complete the event with 15 playing days.
