The same team will also play in the tri-nation ODI series against New Zealand and South Africa.

Selector Asad Shafiq says that Fakhar Zaman’s opening partner could be Babar Azam or Saud Shakeel, and cricketers with excellent performance in home conditions have been selected.

He said that he can imagine how painful it is for Saim Ayub not to play in the Champions Trophy, we do not want to make any hasty decisions.

It should be noted that Pakistan will play its first match in the Champions Trophy against New Zealand on February 19 in Karachi.
